Parama Poojya, Jagadh Guru, Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr.Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji,a humanitarian spiritual leader and educator, a much revender seer of Karnataka.
Maha Swamiji took over as the 71st pontiff of the ancient Natha centre of worship Sri Adhichunchangiri Mutt on 24th September 1974, at the age of 30. Mahaswamiji was best known for his works in the field of ANNA, AKSHARA & AROGYA. The mutt witnessed a revolutionary progress under his leadership with several of his flagship projects in education, religion and social service. The mutt hosts a chain of educational institutions which offers traditional Sanskrit courses as well as Modern Science & Technology. 
Recognizing Maha Swmiji’s humanitarian work he was bestowed with Honorary Doctorates by International Hindu Vedic university, The United States, Indira Gandhi University of Medical science and Bengaluru University.
In 2010 Maha swamiji was valedicted  with the prestigious and  highest civilian award PADMABHUSHANA rendered by the Government of India .
The holy soul was departed on 13th January 2013, five days prior his 68th birthday.
 As a tribute, a week in January is intended to show gratitude to Mahaswamiji . On his remembrance  Every year Jayanthothsawa is celebrated at Sri kshethra  with lots of respect and devotion with the guidance of Parama poojya Jagadhaguru Sri Sri Sri Dr.Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji.
